Dio - Holy Diver
(Mercury ‎811021-1 Hol-83 VG+ 375:-)

For a brief spell during the mid-'80s, Dio were one of the top US concert attractions, boasting one of the most over the top stage acts of its time loaded with props and special effects. The group's leader was singer Ronnie James Dio, who had previously become acquainted with the metal masses as the frontman of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow from 1975-1978 and Black Sabbath from 1979-1982.

'Holy Diver's stunning quality and consistency owes much to Dio's carefully chosen bandmates, including powerhouse drummer (and fellow Sabbath survivor) Vinny Appice, veteran bassist Jimmy Bain, and a phenomenal find in young Irish guitarist Vivian Campbell, whose tastefully pyrotechnic leads helped make this the definitive Dio lineup.
Dylan, Bob - Bob Dylan
(CBS ‎SBPG-62022 UK-64 VG+ 500:-)

Sure, the young Robert Zimmerman might look a bit hokey on the cover – but he's already out there way ahead of the pack – and starting to blow away any of the less interesting pop folkies who'd been crowding into the Greenwich Village scene of the early 60s!

There's a difference here right from the start – not just some of his own material, but the way that Dylan transforms older tunes too – bringing in elements of blues, and using these very personal guitar inflections and harmonica lines to really make the music his own.

2nd UK pressing.
Dylan, Bob - Life Sentence
(Audifön RZ-004 [bootleg] VG+ 500:-)

Bob Dylan is on the short list of the most influential artists of the 20th Century. He coupled a love for all forms of American popular and folk music with a personal and poetic songwriting style instead of relying on professional craftsmen or standard tunes.

The 'Bob Dylan World Tour 1978'’s first leg consisted of seven consecutive nights at the Los Angeles Universal Amphitheater. This double album presents 3 sides from the second show on June 2 and the last side from the end of the last night on June 7.
Dylan, Bob - Live 1975
(Sony 9075-93076 EU-19 SS 700:-)

A pretty amazing 70s moment from Bob Dylan – a legendary tour that was a bit of a rock and roll circus on wheels – hence, perhaps, the unique name of the tour!

Bob's in a very collaborative spirit here – working with famous guests who include Mick Ronson, Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Ronee Blakely and Ramblin' Jack Elliott – all in an upbeat mode that surfaced most strongly on some of Dylan's tracks on the 'Desire' album, which was issued during the two legs of the tour.
Dylan, Bob - The Original Mono Recordings
(Columbia MONO-88697761051 US-10 VG+/EX 3500:-)

Bob Dylan's first 8 albums in mono, as they were originally recorded to be heard in! This stunner of box set is amazing simply for the way it charts Dylan's artistic progression, but it's also a long overdue set of it in the original mono – reproduced from the first generation mixes!

Housed in numbered (#0020) box with rear wrapper, and 46-page booklet. Each LP housed in replica jacket.
Dylan, Bob - Triplicate
(Columbia C-183656 US/EU-17 NM 600:-)

Dylan takes on the American songbook once again - revisiting the territory of classic 20th century songwriters that he touched on the 'Fallen Angels' album!

The 3 LP format really has Dylan going to town on the material - and maybe doing a lot more than just trying to ape an older singer like Frank Sinatra - as the arrangements are often surprisingly fresh, and almost hit the kind of country/standard mode that Willie Nelson hit with his 'Stardust' recording.
